Dear family and friends,
It is with great sadness that I announce the unexpected passing of Dr. Richard G. Tannerya.
Richard leaves behind his former wife Liza, his son, Jack, his grandsons Luke and Tyler, his sister Rika and his nephew and niece, Johan and Grace.
After emigrating to Canada in 1965, Richard, or “R.G” as he liked to be called spent his first few years in Canada assisting with heart research.
He later graduated from University of Toronto’s medicine programme in 1974 and then dedicated over 40 years of his life (both in Toronto and Houston) in his quest of helping people using both conventional western medical practices and a holistic medical approach.
Richard was a fairly quiet person and was not outspoken in his thoughts but did quietly care for and love his family and friends, including his dog Molly and his friends and colleagues at the Blalock Medical Centre including Dr. Noel Chow, Johanna, Carmen, Alejandro, Carina, Araceli, Angelica and the rest of the team.
We will miss R.G. and his passion for his family, and his friends as well as his dedication to helping patients and others.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
