James (Jim) Diehl, Jr., 60, from Irving, TX, passed away February 21, 2017. He was born on April 5, 1956 in Aberdeen, MD to James and Donna (Cordell) Diehl. He is survived by two sons, James J. Diehl (husband of Amanda) of Mansfield, TX, and Jason B. Diehl (husband of Taylor) of Mansfield, TX. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Maximus, Landon, McKinley, Addison, and Landri Diehl, all of Mansfield, TX. He also is survived by his mother, Donna June (Cordell) Diehl of Chambersburg, PA, and 3 siblings, Julia Diehl of Chambersburg, PA, Jeffrey (husband of Jody) Diehl of Fayetteville, PA, and Joan (wife of Richard) Myers of Chambersburg, PA as well as 2 nieces & a nephew of Chambersburg, PA. Numerous extended family members & friends, including aunts, uncles, and cousins of the Pennsylvania area. Close friends, former spouse, Julie (Miley) Sheffield & Chris Sheffield of Grand Prairie, TX. His father, James Diehl, of Chambersburg, PA predeceased him in August, 2016. Jim graduated from CASHS in Chambersburg, PA with the class of 1974. After relocating to Irving, TX, he was self-employed as the owner/operator of his mobile truck repair service, Diehl On Wheels, for the last 31 years. Jim enjoyed anything regarding History, especially the Civil War era and listening to 1310 The Ticket. He was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, where he was the Quartermaster and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 267. Jim enjoyed watching his sons compete in their various sporting events and loved spending time with his 5 precious grandchildren, who referred to him as Pappy Jim. Jim’s wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., Inglewood Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX.
