Nancy Jacquelyn Johnson, of Houston, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2018 at the age of 86.
Nancy was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1931 and attended the University of Alabama and SMU where she was a member of Pi Phi Sorority.
Nancy worked at Neiman Marcus in both Dallas and Houston, Zapata Oil Company as Executive Receptionist, and Treemont Retirement Community. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and planning special parties for her family and friends. In earlier years she was actively involved in the Sewing Circle and other groups at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where she was a member for over 50 years. Nancy’s love for God and her family were most important to her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur William Johnson and Alda Mae Nall.
Nancy is survived by her loving daughter Nan Nungesser-Gale and her husband Michael; her loving son Bill Nungesser and his wife Alina, and her very special granddaughter, Lauren Nungesser. She also leaves numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, in the Chapel, on January 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Bill Denham officiating.
