Earnest Robinson, Jr., the second child of Earnest Robinson, Sr. and Fannie Allen Robinson was born on February 17, 1937. Earnest accepted Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove Baptist Church #2.
Earnest attended Caddo Parish Public Schools in Shreveport, Louisiana. He had a desire to see the world: as a result of that desire, he joined the United States Army and served for 3 1/2 years.
After a few years of living in Dallas, he moved to Houston. He began his career as a Journeyman Electrician, and joined Texas Instruments as an Electrician, where he remained until he retired.
Earnest met and married the love of his life Francine (Frankie) Laverne Ridley, and to this union two of his sons Rodney and Brandon were born. He spent his spare time reading various types of literature, and mastering his talent for billiards. Earnest was reputable for being among the best at any endeavor he pursued because of his relentless pursuit for knowledge, and his well known philosophy to simply “be the best that you can be.” His greatest passion was being an excellent father to his sons. He also extended his love and wisdom to countless others who regarded Earnest as a strong father figure.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Sr. and Fannie Robinson, one brother Otis Robinson, and his wife Francine Laverne Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Danny Jackson (Arnita). Sugarland, Texas; Rodney Ryan Ridley Robinson (Kenisha), Humble, Texas; Brandon Robinson (Chyna), Keller, Texas. Two Brothers Alvin Robinson (Marilyn); Houston, Texas and Willie Robinson (Helen), Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Evelyna Roberts, Shreveport, Louisiana and Linda Smith (Frederick), Missouri City, Texas, 10 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Earnest will be held at Southeast Community Church, 10413 Ashville Dr. Houston, TX at 10:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM
